Flew to Amsterdam via Stansted with Easyjet and had no complaints with parking or flight. At the airport decided to catch a cab - big mistake 40 euros! but I did get to the hotel with the minimum of fuss late afternoon.
On departure we took the train for less than 8 euros for two and only a 7 minute walk from the hotel - takes just over 10 mins to Scjiphol, direct and only one stop. The hotel is well served by the number 5 tram a couple of minutes walk away.As for the hotel I found it very refreshing from the norm and all very hi tech. The rooms are modular in construction incorporating a very efficient standalone tubular shower and toilet. The lighting, TV, blinds, alarm clock and heating are all operating from a single ipad including the option of mood lighting. There are multiple TV channels and films are free.Breakfast is continental and the evening meal tends to be a single theme - when we were there one night was Italian the next night Indian; you can also purchase microwave meals and sandwiches.Check in was very easy, staff super efficient and a great overall stay.
Great people they made the M what it is. the only problem I had was a shower that would leak in the middle of the night. had to put a towel down on the shower floor so it wouldnt tap and splater water over the rest of the floor.
I highly recommand the citizenM hotel, rooms are so comftable and cozy. The fact that you can control every single thing in your room with an iPad is amazing!!!!The Bad is so confortable and I recommand to include breakfast! It's good and you have a lot of choices.
Really liked the location.Easily accessible from the airport and easy to get to city, both by bike as well as by public transport. The rooms are very small, but ok.The only strange thing is the toilet within the room.
Breakfast is nice but could be cheaper.
Very convenient if you have to go to the RAI, and not far from the center.I spent 4 nights and I slept very well, the staff is friendly and efficient.I will gladly return in the citizenM on my next visit to Amsterdam.
My partner, our two friends and I recently spent two nights at the citizenM Amsterdam.Other than paying considerably more for our room than our friends, as I didn't book it until November, I really can't complain! The rooms are "different" from the typical hotel room you'd expect - the shower and toilet are part of the room and enclosed as glass pods when in use.
The rooms are smaller than the typical hotel room - the bed was huge and the use of an iPad mini to control every aspect of the room from heating to the TV is rather ingenious.
After a very early flight and a full day of sightseeing we decided to eat at the hotel before bed - Saturday's buffet curry night was absolutely fantastic with a brilliant selection of Indian and Indonesian curries and associated dishes.
CitizenM Amsterdam is well located for RAI.But f you want to enjoy the city, it is a bit off track, and not perfectly well situated. However, it is a nice place to stay, with good breakfast and great living room experience.
Stayed here and the one in Rotterdam before.
Easy simple practical and reasonably priced.Even with the snow the hotel functioned well and there was always a salad to eat at the bar....
Clean and cheerful.
I had a view on the back but the rooms are spaceship style so everything is packed into a practical space.
Definitely not romantic but functional.
